Koura Lodge provides a broad range of facilities to cater for your holiday. Sporting, adventure, sightseeing or relaxing, you will find the Lodge surroundings idyllic for your activity.

Adjacent to your room you will find a kitchenette, including microwave, small fridge and kettle. In addition to complimentary tea and coffee, our mini-bar is stocked with locally made wine and beer.

The Lodge offers a choice of two lounge areas, both featuring Finnish soapstone wood fires. Whether you are playing Chess, reading or quietly watching TV, the lounges at Koura Lodge will make you feel at home.

Lodge technology is right up to date with wireless high speed internet access available in both complexes. Every room is fitted with an LCD TV and DVD player.

Spa Facility

The lake-edge open-air spa pool, sauna and on-site massage provide the perfect way to relax after a days sightseeing.

Tennis

For something more energetic enjoy a game of tennis on our flood lit championship size Astro-turf court.

Fishing

Lake Rotorua is known as one of the greatest rainbow and brown trout fisheries in New Zealand and is open year round to anglers. Guests are able to fish from the Lodge jetty or take a fishing charter.

Canoes

Koura Lodge has a selection of safe and stable canoes for you to enjoy paddling the shores of Lake Rotorua.

Floatplanes and Helicopter Flights

Probably our most popular activities are scenic helicopter and floatplane flights to some of the regions most active volcanic areas. Take the Floatplane from Koura Lodge's jetty, or be transferred by a short water taxi ride to the lake edge helicopter pad.
